What is Pre-K up to?
Letter to Parents
Dear Parents/Family Members,
This week we will explore the letter Aa. We will talk about the sound it makes and a lot of different words that begin with the letter Aa. We will practice writing the letter Aa in different ways, such as air writing with our pointer finger, on our small chalk boards, and by writing in different tactile materials such as sand paper and shaving cream. You can help your child at home by finding different items around your home that begin with the letter Aa. In math we will explore different shapes. We will count items using one to one correspondence from 1 to 5. We will begin the theme Welcome to School.

Every day we will have a rest time for our students. Please send a small blanket and a small pillow for your child. Our rest time will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. If you need to check out your child early please do this before or after rest time.
Box Tops for Education
We will continue to collect Box Tops for Education labels. This is an important fund raiser for our school. Please check your cereal boxes, Kleenex boxes, and other grocery items for the Box Tops for Education labels.
We are excited to have your child in our classroom this year!
